Wednesday morning: Bright, clear, cool

Wednesday morning: Bright, clear, cool; another day dawns in the desert. If troubles come in threes, do inconveniences happen in fours? We had the snow storm Sunday that shut down I-17 and delayed our arrival in Tuba City by one day. Then the water main break on Tuesday morning that shut down Tuba City Boarding School for the day. (We came back to the church compound where we're staying and stacked wood.) Then the power outage last night, which meant no heat in the Hogans. And this morning? We've just learned that it's a half day at TCBS, teacher conferences this afternoon. We're all anxious to get to work and now we'll have just a couple of hours to dive in before it's quitting time. And yet... when we stood in a circle yesterday afternoon and Lucas asked each of us to say something about the good we were experiencing as well as the bad, the goods were very, very good, and the bads, only disappointments! Off to school now, bright eyed and bushy tailed!
